The 3D4MED Cricothyrotomy Simulator is an advanced anatomical phantom developed for training in emergency surgical airway access procedures. Based on reference anatomical models optimized for education, the device realistically reproduces key neck structures and material properties to provide an immersive training experience.

How to Use

All components are designed for intuitive assembly and rapid replacement. The modular design allow user to quickly prepare the simulator for succesive training sessions, making it suturable for both individual pratiche and hig-volume educational courses focused on advanced surgical transplantation. The kit is accompanied by detailed instructions aviable in both printed and video formats.

What You Get:

  • Fixed Anatomical Base: A permanent, rigid platform reproducing the key cervical landmarks, including the vertebral column, clavicles, major vessels, and a fixed trachea portion. 

  • Replaceable Airway Module: A consumable component containing the esophagus, trachea, cricoid/thyroid cartilages, and a hybrid bone structure. Manufactured via Stratasys technology for high anatomical fidelity, it mounts onto a rigid support that secures to the spine via a pin fixation system. The module is designed for frequent replacement, and its support can be easily changed if damaged.

  • External Skin & Frame: Includes an FDM-printed external skin and a dedicated holding frame. This component enhances visual realism during landmark identification and incision.

  • Silicone Soft-Tissue Pads: Placed over the trachea, these pads mimic superficial soft tissues, allowing trainees to practice realistic palpation and incision before accessing the membrane.
