To create the most realistic, patient-specific simulation for surgical training, vascular models must mimic how native tissue responds to pressure, punctures, and stitches.
Our lab has been using the Stratasys J750 Digital Anatomy technology to study and validate together with Stratasys new material solutions for the production of anatomical models for surgical simulation.
Our research resulted in new printing presets for suturable vascular models to mimic vessels’ mechanical responses during suturing.
