Patient-specific model of a spinal column with an evident scoliosis. The 3D printed model has been useful to evaluate the pathological curvature of the spine and to plan the surgical treatment involving modeling and placement of metal bars to straighten the spinal column.
The patient-specific model is a 3D printed reconstruction of an aneurysm of the abdominal aorta. The model has been useful for the pre-operative evaluation of the aneurysm (shape, dimension and location) and for the surgical planning of aneurysm resection and endo-prosthesis selection and placement.
The 3D printed model includes the pelvic bone structure (white) the tumor (black and purple) and the surrounding venous (blue) and arterial (red) vessels.
The event “Industry 4.0, Technology and the Law” is organized by the Department of Law, the Interdepartmental Research Center at the European Center of Law, Science and New Technologies (ECLT) and the Collegio Ghislieri of Pavia, in collaboration with the Center for Health Technologies (CHT) at the University of Pavia.
